When The Flash got its own spinoff from the CW’s Arrow last fall, it became one of the best new shows of the year. Season 1 wasn’t afraid to be lighter than Arrow, with more humor and fun, but that didn’t keep the season from being serious at times, and occasionally downright emotional. And keeping with the CW tendency to “leave no plot behind,” The Flash roared through its season with a dizzying number of villains, love triangles, time travel scenarios -- and even found time for Gorilla Grodd.
We at Collider hope that (through our short and sweet video) we have been able to make some sense of what was largely a crazy (and crazy good) season. Can you remember the 17+ villains Barry and the S.T.A.R. labs team (with some assists from Team Arrow) faced? What about the whole backstory with Barry’s mother, as well as Reverse Flash? And where did Grodd fit in to everything? We have it sorted — at least, the big stuff — from the season that was, to prepare you for the season that will be.
