The Flash recap team agrees that "The Darkness and the Light" is the best episode of the season so far. Most of this episode’s greatness stems from the highly anticipated appearance of one Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) from Earth-2. Unlike his Earth-1 counterpart, this version of the genius doctor is, in the exact words of Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), “a dick.” By the end you’ll be left wondering what the good doctor’s true intentions are. Is he friend or foe?

On a lighter note, this episode featured a hilarious and well-crafted first date scenario between Barry and Patty Spivot. With Barry blinded from an encounter with this week’s villain Dr. Light (Malese Jow), he must rely on Cisco to guide his every step as his tries desperately not to fall over. One of our panelists thinks that Spivot may just be there in order for her to die. What do you think? Find out what else the recap team thought of tonight’s action-packed episode in our latest show. May the speed force be with you all.

Series Synopsis: Following a catastrophic incident in his hometown of Central City, Barry Allen wakes up 9 months after being struck by lightning and discovers that the bolt gave him the power of super speed. A gathering of scientists and heroes, both young and old in age, come to assist him as he begins to figure out the extent of his powers, only to discover that other people – nicknamed Meta-Humans – have also acquired similar powers that they use equally for good and evil. With his new team and powers, Barry becomes “The Flash” and fights crime in Central City, while also attempting to keep up a social life and keep close with the family who took him in as a young boy.
