Director Don McKellar's The Grand Seduction trailer is now online, courtesy of eOne Entertainment.  The light-hearted comedy takes place in the small fishing village that's in desperate need of a doctor, not just to treat its variously (and humorously) afflicted residents, but to fulfill a business contract that will keep the local factory up and running.  When a young doctor (Taylor Kitsch) arrives for a trial residency period, the town's mayor (Brendan Gleeson) pulls out all the stops in order to woo the man into setting up shop permanently.  It's an odd bit of plot that comes out of left field, but the trailer shows off the film's quaint sense of humor.

Also starring Liane Balaban, the film opens May 30th.  Hit the jump to watch The Grand Seduction trailer.

A small fishing village must procure a local doctor to secure a lucrative business contract. When unlikely candidate and big city doctor Paul Lewis lands in their lap for a trial residence, the townsfolk rally together to charm him into staying.  As the doctor's time in the village winds to a close, acting mayor Murray French has no choice but to pull out all the stops and begin The Grand Seduction.
