The House of the Devil movie image - slice.jpg

I’m always looking for a great new horror film.  The genre rarely gives us something worth talking about and so I always like to be on the lookout for anything that is causing some buzz and might be worth checking out.  The latest film to get my attention has been “The House of the Devil”.  I first took notice after it’s pretty cool looking poster came out and now it definitely has me anticipating it after seeing the latest red band trailer. You can watch it for yourself when click on the jump.

“The House of the Devil” is set n the 1980s, and tells the story of college student Samantha Hughes as she takes a strange babysitting job that coincides with a full lunar eclipse. She slowly then begins to realize that her clients harbor a terrifying secret. The film is written and directed by Ti West (“The Roost”, and the upcoming “Cabin Fever 2”) and stars Jocelin Donahue, Greta Gerwig, Mary Woronov, and the always great Tom Noonan.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m getting a pretty cool 80s horror film vibe from this one.  I just hope it lives up to the early buzz and that damn cool poster.
