Those looking for a little more Western action just in time for the holidays are in luck. The Last Son will be making its limited premiere in theaters and On-Demand Friday, December 10. And we’ve got the trailer and some first look images to tide you over until the release.

The cast of this horse ridin', gun slingin' 19th-century story includes Sam Worthington, Colson Baker aka Machine Gun Kelly, Heather Graham, and Golden Globe-nominated Thomas Jane, and was filmed under the direction of Tim Sutton (Donnybrook).

The story takes place in the Sierra Nevada and follows the story of Isaac LeMay (Worthington), a cursed outlaw known for his brutal, murderous slayings. The curse laid upon the gunslinger is that his life will be snuffed out by the hand of his own son, Cal (Baker). This leads to a journey in which LeMay attempts to track Cal from town to town in order to pull the trigger on him before the murderous villain looks down the barrel of Cal’s gun. But LeMay is also being hunted by bounty hunters and top-notch tracker Solomon (Jane).

While we don’t know who will come out on top, the trailer gives us a look into the tough life of those living in the dangerous Sierra Nevada during the 19th century. It also looks like Cal isn’t the first of his family to be hunted down by the patriarch. In the opening moments of the trailer, we see LeMay shoot a shadowy figure that asks him “What do you want from me?” and an unknown character saying, “Rumor is, there’s a man from the plains going around killing his own kin." We also see that Cal seems to be in a relationship and happily settled down until the news of his father's dastardly plans comes to him. This launches the young man into preparation and tracking mode as Cal sets out to find his father before his father catches up with him.
