Following a couple weeks of teasers, HBO has now released the first full trailer for The Leftovers.  The story takes place after the Rapture, centering on the people in a small town that didn’t make the cut.  With Damon Lindelof as the executive producer, some might be expecting a little more of a Lost-style mystery with regards to why some people were chosen and others weren't, but that doesn't seem to the case.  It may factor into the plot, but judging by this trailer, The Leftovers seems to be more about fallout and dealing with a new reality rather than trying to solve a mystery.  In some ways, that's even more intriguing.
