LEGO is rolling out 17 new sets that tie in with their upcoming feature film, The LEGO Movie. We've got early looks at two of those sets today, along with a collection of minifigures that reveal some of the characters in the animated movie from directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). The story centers on Emmet (Chris Pratt), an average LEGO minifigure who is mistaken for the most extraordinary person in the LEGO world and is looked upon to save his people from an evil tyrant named President Business (Will Ferrell). Also featuring the voices of Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, and Cobie Smulders, The LEGO Movie opens in 3D on February 7, 2014. Hit the jump to check out some early looks at the movie's characters and set pieces.

Cloud Cuckoo Palace: a building set based on a key scene in the film. The set features Emmett, Wyldstyle, and a villain named Executron. But the real highlight here is a never-before-seen character named Uni-Kitty, who's voiced by "Community" and "Mad Men" star Alison Brie. How Uni-Kitty fits into the plot remains to be seen, but if the building set is any indication, her role is definitely a colorful one. The Cloud Cuckoo Palace, which will cost about $20.
Here's a look at one of the sets titled Lord Business' Evil Lair (via Heat Vision):
Characters in the set include [Lord Business], Emmet (the movie’s lead, voiced by Pratt) plus Vitruvius, Ma Cop, Pa Cop, Lord Business and wrestler/Master Builder, El Macho Wrestler, and brick-built Biznis Kitty, a different version of Unikitty. (The latter two are brand new creations.) The set will have 738 pieces, retail for $89.99 and hit stores in January, 2014.
