Today, we’re pleased to debut the Mondo poster for Nicolas Winding Refn’s The Neon Demon. For those who are unfamiliar with the director’s latest film, it follows Jesse (Elle Fanning), an aspiring model entering the ravenous modeling world of Los Angeles.
Jay Shaw handled the art for this poster, and it’s absolutely stunning. It managed to walk the line between glamorous and creepy, which is what I expect Refn’s film to do as well. You’ve got to love it when the art actually delivers the tone of the movie rather than something that just looks cool for the sake of looking cool, or when the artist’s style overrides everything regardless of how well it represents the film.
So how do you get your hands on this poster? Per the press release, “Screen prints of the poster will be available for sale in-person at the Austin Alamo Drafthouse Lamar screening with Nicolas Winding Refn/composer Cliff Martinez on Saturday, 6/18 before & after the screening hosted by Tim League. Remaining copies will go online via MONDO website following the screening.”
The Neon Demon is being released via Amazon Studios and Broad Green Pictures in theaters everywhere on Friday, June 24th. Keep up with the film on social media with the hashtag #TheNeonDemon.
