The Overnight is one of the weirdest comedies you’ll see this year. It has a simple premise—a married couple (played by Adam Scott and Taylor Schilling) has recently moved to a new town and is looking for a playmate for their young son. They come across another couple (Jason Schwartzman and Judith Godrèche) who seem warm and inviting, but a simple dinner between the two families becomes much more awkward as the evening winds on. I don’t want to spoil the strange places the film goes, but it will definitely have you talking afterwards. At the very least, you’ll see what’s like to go down as 2015’s best dick joke.

I’m pleased to announce that we’re giving away 25 admit-two passes to see The Overnight. To enter for a chance to see the movie early and for free, send an e-mail to Collider.Passes@gmail.com with the subject line “THE OVERNIGHT”.  The screening is on Thursday, June 18th @ 7:30pm at Landmark Midtown, so don’t enter if you think you’ll be unavailable.  Multiple entries from a single person will disqualify all entries from that person.

In case you haven’t seen it, check out the red-band trailer below. The Overnight opens in select theaters on June 26th.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Overnight:

Alex, Emily, and their son, RJ, have recently moved to Los Angeles’ Eastside from Seattle. Feeling lost in a new city, they are desperate to find their first new friends. After a chance meeting with Kurt at the neighborhood park, they gladly agree to join family pizza night at the home. But as it gets later and the kids go to bed, the family “playdate” becomes increasingly more revealing and bizarre as the couples begin to open up.
