In the spirit of reboot mania, which is sweeping the nation, The Powerpuff Girls are returning to us (via Cartoon Network) in a revived series helmed by Adventure Time’s Nick Jennings. The original series, created by Craig McCracken, was one of the first series that really defined Cartoon Network, and led to its eventual success (and one of the Best Cartoons of the 90s)

The new series looks like it will still be its trademark mix of sugar, spice, and everything nice (plus Chemical X), though the animation has changed a little since the show’s initial 1998-2005 run, and the voice actors are different (Amanda Leighton (The Fosters) as Blossom, Kristen Li (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, & Dawn) as Bubbles, and Natalie Palamides (Burning Bridges) as Buttercup at least, though Tom Kenny will again lend his voice to the Narrator/Mayor of Townsville).
