AMC's The Walking Dead has had its fair share of power couples throughout its 11 seasons, but at least one-half of every couple has also been a proud partner in a power duo. Whether they were friends-turned-lovers, apocalyptic acquaintances-turned-BBFs, or together long before the breakout, some couples and duos will be forever memorable for their chemistry.

Some can be described as The Walking Dead supercouples while others are the best of friends and nothing more, but each and every duo has fought together to outlast the outbreak and survive in the post-apocalyptic world.

Couple: Maggie and Glenn

When a farmer's daughter met a former pizza delivery boy, it wasn't exactly love at first sight. While Glenn was enamored by the combination of sweet and badass Maggie possessed, it took Maggie a little while to reciprocate his feelings.

By Season 6, what's arguably the biggest supercouple in The Walking Dead history was married with a child on the way. Their love story came to a tragic ending when Glenn was brutally murdered by Negan right in front of his wife.

Duo: Maggie and Elijah

Though Maggie and Elijah have only been on the scene together since Season 10 when they saved Gabriel from The Whisperers, the duo goes back much further. Elijah became Maggie's righthand man while she was away leading The Wardens.

The two have seen each other through a lot — the loss of Elijah's sister and Maggie's reunion with her husband's killer — and are typically seen side-by-side when they're traveling, offing walkers, or taking down enemies who get in their way.

Couple: Daryl and Connie

Daryl and Connie on The Walking Dead

The last couple of seasons began blossoming a romance between Daryl and Connie. Daryl even learned sign language in order to communicate with his deaf crush, but her disappearance in a crumbling cave at the hand of his best friend put a halt to both relationships.

When Connie returned to the group at the start of Season 11, there was merely one moment of enamored Daryl until action ensued that never brought the two together again, leaving fans waiting until the final few episodes to see if anything comes of their possible romance.

Duo: Daryl and Carol

Despite a longing from The Walking Dead fans to make these two a couple, the show has never taken their relationship in that direction. From the first season, Daryl and Carol are badass buddies who, despite their disagreements, always have each other's backs.

The pair have diverted from the group on numerous occasions to share heart-to-hearts, which viewers can expect to see much more of in the duo's AMC spin-off after The Walking Dead's final season.

Couple: Rick and Michonne

The Walking Dead Episode 0610, "The Next World," Rick and Michonne

Although Rick was coupled with a handful of women in his nine seasons, the fan-favorite was his relationship with Michonne. After some back-and-forth flirting since Season 3, the two finally hit it off in Season 6.

Cleverly nicknamed "Richonne," the couple stayed together until Rick's disappearance in Season 9, but before he had the chance to find out Michonne was pregnant with their son RJ.

Duo: Rick and Morgan

Rick Grimes and Morgan Jones on The Walking Dead

This power duo goes all the way back to the first episode. Despite Morgan's son mistaking an alive and well Rick for a walker at first, Morgan takes the wounded man in and informs him of the outbreak.

The friends lose contact over the seasons before finally reuniting in Season 5 and finally joining Rick's group until his commitment to peace forces him to leave Rick's group, who's in the middle of a war with Negan and The Saviors.

Couple: Negan and Lucille

The Walking Dead Episode 1023 "Here's Negan," Negan and Lucille

Since Negan's arrival in Season 5, pieces of his backstory slowly but surely came together until it was revealed that his infamous baseball bat was named after his late wife, Lucille. In the Season 10 finale, the episode flashed back to Negan's life with his wife just before the outbreak where he's shown as a bum husband playing videos in the middle of the day.

Despite their issues, Negan and Lucille's relationship was shown to be strong until the devastating end when Negan arrives home to find his wife had given up her cancer fight and ended her life, tied to their bed and now zombified. The moment taints Negan forever, turning him into the villain he's become.

Duo: Negan and Judith

Negan and Judith on The Walking Dead

In one of the simultaneously most unexpected and cutest duos in The Walking Dead history, the villainous Negan befriends Rick's daughter Judith.

Negan has a habit of taking a liking to children on the show, once befriending Judith's older brother Carl before his passing, and viewers chalk it up to Negan's past as a gym teacher. Despite every cruel thing Negan had done, Judith saw past him as the man he has the potential to be, sometimes putting the elder in his place.

Couple: Aaron And Eric

Aaron and Eric on The Walking Dead

A couple long before the outbreak, Aaron and Eric found refuge in the Alexandria Safe-Zone and later became recruiters for the community of survivors.

Their relationship is seen on-screen for three seasons until Eric succumbed to a gunshot wound during the war with The Saviors. When the battle subsides, Aaron is devastated to find his love transformed into a walker, but doesn't have the heart to put him down.

Duo: Aaron and Gabriel

Aaron and Gabriel on The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead had never seen such a powerful duo in Aaron and Gabriel until Season 11 when the two had not just one, but two episodes themed around their friendship — and both featuring former Terminator actors, no less.

The first episode found the pair trapped by Mays, portrayed by Robert Patrick, who forces the friends to play Russian roulette. When Gabriel finally convinces Mays to join their group, he unexpectedly whacks him with a mace. The second episode features Michael Biehn as Ian, the leader of a group who gets ambushed by members of The Commonwealth, to Aaron and Gabriel's shock.
