Spoiler warning for those of you who have not caught up with the latest episode of AMC's The Walking Dead.

AMC's The Walking Dead has been on the air, gleefully torturing the show's survivors and audiences alike, since 2010. Over the course of the series' six seasons, we've seen the core cast expand and shrink thanks to newfound friendships and heart-rending losses. We've watched as the group traveled from the woodland outside Atlanta, to false sanctuaries at Hershel's farm, the prison, Woodbury, and Terminus, ultimately finding a place to call their own within the walls of Alexandria. And at the center of all this turmoil has been one constant: Rick Grimes.

Played to fantastic effect by Andrew Lincoln, viewers can get the sense of the survivors' state of being just by checking out Rick Grimes' appearance. Is he bearded? If so, is it neat and tidy, or is it wild and unkempt? Is Rick covered in blood again, and, if so, is it his own? Some simple visual cues--from Rick's wide-eyed and close-shaved days as a Sheriff's Deputy to the unruly, full-on hipster beard he sported in the wilderness--go a long way toward showing just how dire the straits are for our survivors. With that in mind, we've put together a video chronicling the various visages of Rick Grimes throughout his time on The Walking Dead.
