Fresh off the film’s Christmas Day release, Paramount Pictures has released a pair of new behind-the-scenes featurettes for director Martin Scorsese’s dark comedy The Wolf of Wall Street.  The film was one of a few moviegoing options available to families on Christmas, and the three-hour, hard R-rated chronicle of 90s excess and debauchery opened as the number two film of the day—just a hair behind The Hobbit.  The pic is a frenetic, often hilarious chronicle of the career of broker Jordan Belfort, told through the wholly unique lens of Scorsese.  These two featurettes offer up a bit of behind-the-scenes footage while the cast talks about working with the master filmmaker and bringing this story to life.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Wolf of Wall Street:

Revered filmmaker Martin Scorsese directs the story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio).   From the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late 80s.  Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title – “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

Money.  Power.  Women.  Drugs.  Temptations were for the taking and the threat of authority was irrelevant.  For Jordan and his wolf pack, modesty was quickly deemed overrated and more was never enough.
