Filming is underway on The Wolverine and video and photos from the set have been leaking online. Now the first images of the new and improved (or old and hopefully improved since the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine takes place before X-Men) Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) have popped up, and the immediately noticeable difference is that Wolvie's locks are a bit shorter. It's not a huge difference since the unmistakable backwards-flared hairstyle is still in place. I kind of like it since maybe it implies that director James Mangold is seriously putting his own stamp on the franchise and giving it a different look than what we've seen before. The sequel takes place in Japan, and sees our clawed hero as a stranger in a strange land, but still finding trouble. The film also stars Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, and Rila Fukushima. Hit the jump to check out the new photos of Jackman as Wolverine [plus a mild spoiler about the scene Jackman was shooting]. The Wolverine opens July 26, 2013.Via The Telegraph and The Leader:[Mild Spoiler Ahead]According to The Leader, the set photos we see in The Telegraph are from a scene with Wolverine in a "Japanese Prisoner of War camp."
