Hammer Films has released two new images from their upcoming ghost thriller The Woman in Black. Daniel Radcliffe stars as a young lawyer on assignment in a remote village: "As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black."

Ciaran Hinds, Liz White, Janet McTeer, and Alisa Khazanova also star.  Check out the photos as well as the synopsis of the film after the jump:

Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass) penned the adaptation from the Susan Hill novel of the same name.  In case you suppressed the memory, Goldman is the one responsible for the little girl we saw causing Tarantino-esque bloodshed whilst using the C-word in Kick Ass.

This is the first film to be released in 3D by Hammer Films, and also the first time I’ve seen Radcliffe looking so damn old. As I, along with tons of other Generation Xers, have grown up with the Harry Potter books and films, his beard in these pictures makes me want to relive the golden days and play Super Smash Brothers (the N64 version, of course).

The story follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Radcliffe), who is ordered to travel to a remote village and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Receiving only silence from the locals, Kipps is forced to uncover the true identity of the Woman in Black on his own, leading to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true intent.
