While I'm looking forward to the conclusion of Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright's Cornetto trilogy as much as the next fan, I'd prefer to go into the picture knowing just the basic information.  Unfortunately, this new trailer for The World's End reveals way too much and spoils the answer to the question of, "What the hell is going on in that quaint British town?"  That's right, I'll field the spoilers so you don't have to.  Such sacrifices I make for you people.

Also starring Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman and Rosamund Pike, The World's End opens in the U.K. on July 19th and in the U.S. on August 23rd.  Hit the jump to watch the new trailer, though I'd recommend only enjoying the nostalgic first thirty seconds and staying spoiler-free for the rest.

Here’s the official synopsis for The World’s End:

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again.  They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End.  As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s.  Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
