The first images from Terry Gilliam's sci-fi not-so-sci-fi film The Zero Theorem are now available in all their colorful glory.  Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds), seen here sporting a bald head, stars as Qohen Leth, a programmer for "entity-crunching" corporation ManCom, who Gilliam says is, "waiting for a phone call that will give meaning to his life".  (Aren't we all?)  Gilliam goes on to talk about the relevance to his 1985 film, Brazil, saying, "It's not really sci-fi. It's like Brazil, which also isn't really sci-fi."  However, The Zero Theorem screenwriter Pat Rushin was influenced by Gilliam's earlier work, so it's all tied together in a roundabout way.

Also starring Matt Damon, Tilda Swinton, Ben Whishaw, Peter Stormare and David Thewlis, The Zero Theorem is slated for a 2014 release date.  Hit the jump to view the images.
