Yesterday, we got the first Thor: Ragnarok set photos of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) chilling on Earth. Thor is in normal, civilian clothes and Loki is in a dapper suit. Today, we have the first look at Anthony Hopkins as Odin, and he has gone full hobo. Take a look:

I’m not sure if this is Odin wearing a disguise or if the character has been absolutely ruined. Thor: The Dark World left us with a major question at the end as we saw Loki impersonating Odin on the throne, so we’re left to wonder, “What happened to Odin?” Has he been deposed? He certainly doesn’t seem to be at his best judging from this set photo (although Hopkins seems to be having a lovely time; perhaps it’s nice not to have to wear all that armor for once).
Plot details on the movie are still scarce, although it’s likely that the story will factor in some of Planet Hulk and it’s supposed to be a bit of a road movie between Thor and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). We also know that Cate Blanchett is the main antagonist Hela, Karl Urban is bad-guy Skurge, and Tessa Thompson is the heroic Valkyrie. How they all come together remains to be seen, but I’m definitely curious to find out what happened to poor Odin.
