First Clip from THE HUNGER GAMES Shows Off Katniss' Archery Skills

This first clip from THE HUNGER GAMES features Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss) showing off her bow skills for the Gamemakers. The film opens March 23rd.

Jennifer Lawrence is the highlight of the first clip released for The Hunger Games. Rightfully so, as her character Katniss is the focal point of the film and, eventually, the entire series. Fans of the first book in Suzanne Collins' bestselling trilogy should be pleased as this scene is plucked right from the text. Personally, I found it to be one of the more memorable scenes and Lawrence nails it. While auditioning for the Gamemakers, Katniss is attempting to show off her strengths, but the frivolous judges are not amused. Hit the jump to see how Katniss gets their attention.

If you haven't already, take a look at a bunch of images, TV spots and even soundtrack information, featuring names like Taylor Swift and The Decemberists. The Hunger Games, directed by Gary Ross also stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. The film opens on March 23rd.
