With Ride Along 2 now in theaters, last week in Miami I landed an exclusive video interview with Tika Sumpter. She talked about memorable moments from filming, why moviegoers love to watch Ice Cube scream at people, who ruined the most takes, getting to play Michelle Robinson (the future Michelle Obama) in Southside with You which premiere at Sundance, and a lot more.
As most of you know if you’ve seen the trailers or TV spots, the sequel reunites Ice Cube and Kevin Hart as partners and brothers-in-laws-to-be who take a road trip from Atlanta to Miami to take down a drug dealer who’s been funneling product into their hometown. The film also stars Benjamin Bratt, Ken Jeong, Olivia Munn, and Sherri Shepherd.
