The first images of Tom Hardy on the set of Tomas Alfredson's Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy landed online recently.  Sporting a slew of ill-conceived tattoos and a blonde wig, Hardy looks to be settling in nicely to the role of British operative Ricki Tarr.  Based on the 1974 John Le Carre spy novel of the same name, the film tells the story of George Smiley (played by Gary Oldman) and his attempt to uncover a mole within British Intelligence.  Although I've never read the novel, given its solid cast (mentioned below) and its status as Alfredson's follow-up to the terrific Let the Right One In, this project is shaping up to be one of my most anticipated for 2011.
