The trailer for "Up in the Air" landed online yesterday and it makes me hate George Clooney so much because no one that good looking should be able to do comedy and drama so effortlessly. Steve saw the film at the Toronto Film Festival and loved and it's getting rave reviews online and print with some already talking Oscars. But my Clooney-envy aside, it's a fantastic trailer. I'm just a little bummed that because of Clooney competing with Clooney, Paramount has moved "Up in the Air" away from its intended November release date so as not to cause Clooney overload since "The Men Who Stare at Goats" is set to hit theaters on November 25th. Instead, Paramount is doing a staggered release with "Up in the Air" premiering in select theaters on December 4th and expanding to more theaters over the month.

We also have a trailer for Martin Scorsese's "Shutter Island" which was sadly booted to February 12th. The new trailer still hits heavy on the horror-noir but what really struck me this time was the cinematography. "Shutter Island" DP Robert Richardson ("Inglourious Basterds"), looks like he's gonna blow some minds and explode a few eyeballs. But you need to see both of these trailers so watch 'em both after the jump.
