T.J. Miller Joins TRANSFORMERS 4, Joel McHale to BEWARE THE NIGHT, Danny Huston Eyes Tim Burton's BIG EYES and Katharine McPhee Tries DEPRAVITY.

Here's today's latest casting news:

Comedian T.J. Miller (She's Out of My League) is set to join Michael Bay's Transformers 4 as a pal of star Mark Wahlberg's character.
Joel McHale (Community) will take a dramatic turn in the supernatural thriller Beware the Night, starring Eric Bana and directed by Scott Derrickson.
Danny Huston (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is in talks to join Tim Burton's Big Eyes, the comedic drama based on the relationship between Walter and Margaret Keane.
Katharine McPhee (Smash) is set to star in the Paul Tamasy-directed thriller Depravity, scripted by Dennis Lehane.

First up from The Wrap is news that Miller will join Transformers 4 as "a blue-collar mechanic who is a longtime friend of Wahlberg's character." From screenwriter Ehren Kruger (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Transformers 4 also stars Nicola Peltz (Bates Motel) and Jack Reynor (What Richard Did) alongside co-stars Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) and Sophia Myles (Underworld).

From Heat Vision comes word that McHale is in final negotiations for Beware the Night, along with Sean Harris (Prometheus). The story centers around "a New York street cop (Bana) who has put his faith in religion behind him but now finds himself targeted by the Devil in the form of possessed soldier (Harris)." McHale will play Bana's partner, a grizzled veteran of the force. Edgar Ramirez also stars as a Jesuit priest, while Olivia Munn will play the cop’s wife.

Via THR, Huston is looking to join Big Eyes as "a burnt out, heavy-drinking gossip reporter." Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams will play the Keanes, who staked their claim in the 1950s and '60s art world and mainstream for popular paintings of big-eyed children. Divorced in 1965, the couple carried on a decades-long argument over who actually painted the pictures, thus providing dramatic tension for the piece.

Finally from Deadline, McPhee is attached to star in Depravity, a film about "a group of roommates [who] accidentally kill an innocent man they thought was a thrill killer." The group dynamics then spiral out of control as each tries to escape the blame and pin it on each other. McPhee stars as one of the gorgeous twenty-somethings who attempts to scapegoat.
