‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ Set Video and Photos Tease Another Explosive Michael Bay Movie

     July 6, 2016

While Marvel is busy filming Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok, Paramount is committed to expanding its Transformers universe with The Last Knight. Director Michael Bay has been posting behind-the-scenes looks from the set, and the latest batch includes some “subway surfing,” Fourth of July fireworks, and some car-flipping action.

Nickelodeon TV actress Isabela Moner is one of the new faces in the latest Transformers, and she features in a video from the set spotlighting a subway demolition piece. Moner slides down the inside of a subway car that lies above ground and wrecked beside a piece of train track. The actress doesn’t reveal anything juicy about production, but she briefly talks about the “fun” aspect of shooting one of these films.

Elsewhere, stands in front of a green screen dressed all in white in a set photo that sees two vehicles flipped on their sides. Written in the caption, he calls the sequence “wicked action” he’s going for. The director, known for his explosive sequences, celebrated July 4th with his own version of fireworks while setting off pyrotechnics in a scene involving a massive shootout. See the new looks below.

Transformers: The Last Knight is a product off a writer’s room in which Paramount worked out plans for his cinematic universe of Hasbro properties. Plot details are unknown, but there’s no lack of theories stemming from the film’s name, which could possibly refer to the Knights of Cybertron, and the inclusion of Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Rounding out the cast are Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager, Josh Duhamel as Lt. Colonel William Lennox, Tyrese Gibson as Robert Epps, Anthony Hopkins, Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors), Laura Haddock (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Santiago Cabrera (Heroes). Bay also revealed new looks for some of the Autobots, including Bumblebee and Drift, as well as a new Transformer named Sqweeks.

Transformers: The Last Knight is scheduled for release on June 23, 2017.
