Okay, so, an easy rider, a casino thief, a Cylon, and Juno's dad enter a bar.  When they come out they realize they signed on to star in a film called "A Beginner's Guide to Endings," says The Hollywood Reporter.  Actually, they said that Dennis Hopper, Scott Caan, Tricia Helfer, and J.K. Simmons agreed to roles for the dark comedy from newcomer Jonathan Sobol - but my story involves a bar.  Click the jump to hear more about the project and fewer bad jokes.

According to THR, the film will revolve around a trio of brothers that attempt to right a lifetime of wrongs upon learning they will have but a few days left to live.  Caan is to play one of the brothers, with Helfer as his girlfriend, and Hopper and Simmons to be father and uncle to the brothers (probably not interchangeably, though that would certainly make an interesting angle).

Shooting of the new film is scheduled to begin at the end of October, which leaves a few weeks to sign the rest of the cast, with the parts of the other two brothers being the most notable roles, at first glance, to still be without an actor.  However, J.K. Simmons playing brother to wild man Dennis Hopper sounds awfully intriguing, especially if you consider the three brothers sound like they may have grown up on the wrong side of the law.  It makes you wonder if Hopper is being asked to reprise his "Blue Velvet" role, and Simmons his role on HBO's "Oz."  Never mind; this sounds like a terrible family.
