DreamWorks Animation has released a new Trolls trailer online. Per the official synopsis: “This holiday season, enter a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters and discover the story of the overly optimistic Trolls, with a constant song on their lips, and the comedicly pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have trolls in their stomach. “

Judging by the trailer, this looks colorful and charmingly weird. I didn’t expect to be interested in a Trolls movie, but it looks deceptively fun and strange and explosively colorful. DreamWorks Animation doesn’t have the greatest track record, but based on this trailer, I’m willing to give Trolls a shot.

Check out the Trolls trailer below. The film opens November 4th, and features the voices of Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop, and Gwen StefaniClick here for our interview with Kendrick and Timberlake.

Here’s the official synopsis for Trolls:

DreamWorks Animation's TROLLS is an irreverent comedy extravaganza with incredible music! From the genius creators of SHREK, TROLLS stars Anna Kendrick as Poppy, the optimistic leader of the Trolls, and her polar opposite, Branch, played by Justin Timberlake. Together, this unlikely pair of Trolls must embark on an adventure that takes them far beyond the only world they've ever known.
