The Tuesday TV ratings for October 6th are in; here are some of the highlights:

  • At 8 p.m., The Voice won its timeslot for NBC with a 2.2 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, and 9.24 million viewers even though it was just a clip show. It didn’t provide much of a lead-in for Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris at 10 p.m., though — the variety show sank to its lowest rating yet, a 1.3 and 4.66 million viewers.
  • On the CW, The Flash premiere was off to a bit of a slow start, down two tenths from last year’s premiere and a tenth from its finale, but still notched a very decent number for the CW with a 1.4 rating and 3.42 million viewers.
  • NCIS helped CBS win the night with viewers overall by pulling in 16.57 million folks, and notching a 2.1 rating at 8 p.m.

On the comedy front, The Muppets on ABC at 8 p.m. dropped slightly to a 1.6 rating and 4.85 million viewers, though Fresh Off the Boat gained a tenth at 8:30 p.m. with a strong 1.8 rating and 4.87 million viewers.
  • On Fox, Grandfathered dropped almost half a point to a 1.1 rating and 3.76 million viewers at 8 p.m., and The Grinder did the same, ending up with a 1.0 rating and 3.1 million viewers. (It has become a very crowded night for comedy, so some of these numbers will likely rise in the Live +3 or +7 delayed viewing figures).
  • At 9 p.m. on ABC, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. dropped a tenth to a 1.6 rating and 4.28 million viewers, and was beaten in its timeslot by NCIS: New Orleans on CBS, which notched a 1.7 rating and 13.97 million viewers.
  • Scream Queens continues its drop with a 1.1 rating and 2.91 million viewers, but it seems to have mostly found its numbers in delayed viewing (if that trend holds).
  • The season premiere of iZombie on the CW at 9 p.m. stayed steady with last year’s average of a 0.7 rating and 1.7 million viewers.

  • At 10 p.m., Limitless dipped two tenths to a 1.7 rating and 9.64 million viewers on CBS (which a CBS press release today put as it “sweeping” its time period. Which, to be fair, it did win).
