The TV ratings for Tuesday, January 20th are in.  Here are some highlights:

  • In the 8 p.m. hour, the great little gem MasterChef Junior won the ratings share (1.7) for Fox, but a rerun of NCIS on CBS crushed it with over double the total number of viewers (almost 12 million).
  • Parks and Recreation rose about 10 percent from last week's premiere to 1.5 / 4 million viewers, putting the NBC comedy in second place for the 18-49 demo at 8 p.m., and giving it its biggest audience since January of last year.
  • The Flash's return from hiatus wasn't met with much fanfare.  "Revenge of the Rogues" (read Dave's recap here) hit 1.3 in the 18-49 rating, down 13 percent from the midseason finale.  Still, it could be because people didn't catch on that it was back (with essentially a Prison Break crossover, no less!)
  • The State of the Union Address was up 7 percent from last year, with the most (7 million) viewers tuning in to watch on CBS, who won the hour.  Fox logged the least number of viewers among the broadcasts showing the speech: 3 million (or slightly more than tuned in for the CW's new episode of Supernatural at 9 p.m. instead)
