Netflix released a heartwarming new trailer for its new reality series Twentysomethings: Austin, a show that follows the lives of eight twentysomething-year-old strangers going through life together in the heart of Texas. It explores what it's like to start fresh and try to find love, success, and joy in modern America, from the manic highs to depressing lows. The series will air in two six-episode parts, with the first episodes already available on Netflix. Part two will premiere on December 17.

In the trailer, we get a glimpse of the eight housemates navigating the dating scene in the city, each looking to find someone and experience all the firsts from the first kiss to the first dick pic, all while getting by in a strange new time that has made finding success and happiness all the more challenging. Each comes with their own baggage that they hope to move past, whether it be strict households, a divorce, or unemployment due to the pandemic. It looks to be a positive series though with the group growing close and leaning on each other when they hit bumps in the road to make the most of their twenties.

The eight twentysomethings include Abbey Humphreys, a recently-divorced 25-year-old exploring her bisexuality, Raquel Daniels, a black woman working in IT looking to branch out in the Austin tech community, Bruce Stephenson, a down-home positive guy looking for his dream girl, Natalie Cabo, an extrovert hoping to escape her strict parents and enjoy the dating life, Kamari Bonds, a male model and aspiring businessman eager to play the field in Texas, Keauno Perez, a gay man exploring the LGBTQ+ life in Austin after leaving Arkansas, Isha Punja, an "educated ditz" following her fashion designer dreams, and Michael Fractor, an aspiring stand-up comic desperate to find love. The housemates came from all over the United States to find that second chance in Austin.
