News of the CBS premiere dates come courtesy of TV.com, along with the word that two characters won't make it through the season two premiere of Under the Dome.  The episode will be rewritten by Stephen King, the author whose novel of the same named served as the source material for the multi-season series adaptation.

As for Extant, the Mickey Fisher script centers on "an astronaut (Berry) who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and son in their everyday life.  Her experiences in space and home lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history."  Early looks at a series teaser tell us that the show will feature not only extraterrestrial intelligence, but human-created artificial intelligence as well.  Extant currently has a 13-episode order for its first season, and will begin production in Los Angeles next month.
