As you may have seen by the abundance of coverage (video of the press conference featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Steven Spielberg, tons of images of the new backlot, interview with Jeff Zucker), I attended the opening of the new Universal Studios New York backlot yesterday.  In attendance were tons of VIP's as well as media from around the world.  While I thought I was done posting coverage, I was provided a short 4 minute video that I thought you'd all enjoy.

The video features Universal President Ron Meyer narrating why the backlot is so important to Universal and how films like Back to the Future and Blues Brothers were filmed in the area that burned down.  Shortly after, Steven Spielberg talks about how he got involved in the rebuilding and he explains how when he heard about the fire, he immediately rushed down to the studio.  Of course the video has a positive ending as the studio just spent a lot of money making the New York backlot even better and the video features Jon Turteltaub and Brian Grazer explaining how impressed they were.  Hit the jump to watch:
