Well, bet you didn't see that coming. Disney has officially unveiled the title for their upcoming Avengers spinoff series featuring Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany's Vision, and it's... WandaVision? Yep, just checked the calendar and it's not April 1st, so it's definitely officially titled WandaVision.

The series, which recently recruited Captain Marvel screenwriter Jac Schaeffer as showrunner, was rumored to be called "Vision and Scarlet Witch," but Disney has apparently decided to take another approach with... WandaVision? Sorry, that's just going to take some getting used to. Marvel will be using the team-up title approach with another of their Disney+ series confirmed today; Falcon and Winter Soldier, which will star Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as their MCU superheroes and Captain America bros.

Elsewhere in Marvel, Disney also previously confirmed Loki, another spinoff series starring Tom Hiddleston as his beloved sometimes villain/sometimes anti-hero, who didn't fare so well at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. That series recently recruited Rick and Morty writer Michael Waldron as showrunner. Earlier this week, reports broke that Disney+ will also pursue a Hawkeye series starring Jeremy Renner, though that has yet to be confirmed.

The news comes out of Disney's ongoing presentation for their new streaming service Disney+, where Chairman and CEO Robert A. Iger is unveiling a slew of long-awaited details for the anticipated launch. The streaming service is positioned to be a major competitor for streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon, and the studio is definitely putting every single one of their best feet forward in today's announcement event, which includes confirmations of titles available at launch (including Captain Marvel and the entire Signature Collection,) the first look at the layout, and much much more.
