In 2016, Nickelodeon will premiere the new animated series Pinky Malinky in a 20-episode first season. The series follows the title character, "an infectiously positive hotdog living in a human world who, along with his two best friends, navigate school and life with a unique perspective." These adventures will also be seen across Nickelodeon's social media accounts and digital platforms. This flexible presentation of the network's content is aimed at capturing the attention of modern audiences. Pinky Malinky will use the tropes of a mockumentary/reality show to speak directly to theaudience in order to share his absurd take on real life.

Chris Garbutt and Rikke Asbjoern, of The Amazing World of Gumball fame, created the series and will executive produce along with Scott Kreamer.  Watch a teaser for the new series below:

Showrunners Noah Z. Jones and Joel Trussell will premiere the new series Pickle and Peanut on Disney XD, September 7th at 9 PM. Jon Heder voices Pickle, a "big, walleyed, teenager who wears his heart on his sleeve." Johnny Pemberton lends his voice to Peanut, the upbeat, optimistic, and driven  character who acts as the brains of the operation.

Here's the series synopsis, along with the intro and clip:

Pickle and Peanut are two small-town teens embarking upon their last year of high school, determined to cram in as much fun as possible before taking on the inevitable adulthood responsibilities. The two underdogs dream up plans to be anything but ordinary in their slightly bizarre fictional suburb of Reno, Nevada. The series employs an inventive mix of 2D animation and live-action clips that highlights the unpredictable humor and quirky nature of the series.

The CW has achieved great success with their superhero series Arrow and The Flash, and they hope to continue that trend with the animated series, Vixen. The show follows Mari McCabe, aka Vixen, a costumed superhero who uses her power to mimic animal abilities in order to fight crime. She channels these abilities via an inherited family totem. The six-episode season will cover one 30-minute story and ties into Arrow's previously seen 15th and 16th episodes of the show's third season. Depending on how successful the animated series is, Vixen may appear in a live-action role in the future.
