New York Comic Con was TV Mecca this weekend. The Walking Dead which premieres on AMC October 23rd, gave fans in attendance and then all of us common folk online an extended clip from the first episode. Yes, Rick has blood on his face and yes Negan’s bat is super bloody. Also, doesn’t Josh look a lot like Jeffrey Dean Morgan? But I digress, Chris Hardwick, who moderated the panel at the con, prodded executive producer Scott Gimple until he confirmed that we will know who dies in the first hour.

Danny Rand aka Iron Fist and the Defenders had themselves quite a weekend at New York Comic Con. We got a teaser trailer of the newest Marvel series, which will glowing fist punch its way onto Netflix on March 17th, 2017 as well as a huge casting announcement when audiences were treated to the news that Sigourney Weaver will be the main villain in The Defenders series.

The Hollywood Reporter broke news that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind could be coming to TV. The reboot comes from Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin, who produced the 2004 film, with Universal Cable Productions attached. Anonymous Content has an impressive TV resume thus far producing series like The Knick and Mr. Robot.

The Punisher has a beard. Fans got some set photos this week of Jon Bernthal’s machine gun wielding man on a mission meeting Karen by the water with a long beard and that same never smiling look on his face. We also got updates on casting for the upcoming Marvel Netflix show. We knew that Ben Barnes was cast as Jigsaw and now we know Girls actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach will be playing Microchip and Amber Rose will be playing Dinah Madani, a secret agent that gets involved with Castle’s rampaging.

We haven’t discussed much about The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow here on TV Talk, but the most recent trailer for season 2 which premieres this Thursday October 13th, showed a much more dynamic show with bigger villains, the Justice Society of America and a quick shot of the 4 show crossover on The CW.
