‘Warcraft’: Magic, Mayhem, and Mischief on Display in Over Three Minutes of Footage

     May 12, 2016

Yesterday we brought you over 20 hi-res images from Duncan Jones’ Warcraft movie to get you primed for the film’s upcoming release, and while they showed off the bold, fantastic spectacle of the video game adaptation, it’s a movie that just looks better in motion. With that in mind, we have over three minutes of footage to show you thanks to four new clips.

Starring Travis FimmelDominic Cooper, Ben Foster, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Robert Kazinsky, and Clancy BrownWarcraft begins its international rollout on May 25th and will eventually open in the U.S. on June 10th. Watch Warcraft come to life in the new clips below:

I much prefer these clips to the previously released trailers or even the beautiful images that have emerged. Oddly enough, I also prefer the interactions between the orcs, whether it’s in battle or civilized conversation along a rocky ledge overlooking a valley, over that of the humans. There’s something stilted about the appearance of very Earthly human beings in all that other-worldly armor, whereas the imposing orcs seem comfortable in their own computer-generated, motion-captured skin. For me, the latter bodes well as far as viewing the full film is concerned as it was one of my major worries when this movie was originally announced. Here’s hoping the picture is as well-received as these clips were in the YouTube comments section!
