Opening this Friday is the new vampire movie “30 Days of Night.” The film stars Josh Hartnett as a cop in Alaska who has to deal with some pretty crazy shit. And while vampire movies aren’t usually my thing…I’ve got to give this film some credit for the level of violence and beheadings they put on screen. I promise you that some of the deaths you’ve never seen in a big budget moviebeforeand one of the beheadings made the audience I saw it with scream. But in a very good way.

If you didn’t know, “30 Days of Night” is based on the comic of the same name by Steve Niles and the film is directed by David Slade. To help promote the movie, Columbia Pictures has given me 7 movie clips and a featurette on Vampire’s and they’re all below. Here’s the official synopsis:For 30 days every winter, the isolated town of Barrow, Alaska is plunged into a state of complete darkness. It's a bitter time when most of the inhabitants head south. This winter, a mysterious group of strangers appear: bloodthirsty vampires, ready to take advantage of the uninterrupted darkness to feed on the residents remaining in town. Barrow's Sheriff Eben (Josh Hartnett), his estranged wife Stella (Melissa George), and an ever-shrinking group of survivors must do anything they can to last until daylight in "30 Days of Night."Vampire Featurette
