There are so many wonderful things to talk about with Black Panther that every day I think, “Oh! I want to mention that!” Today, it’s about showing love to two of the movie’s breakout stars, Letitia Wright and Winston Duke. They’re in a movie surrounded by bigger names, but they leave serious impressions to the point where you know they’re going to get cast in some major movies in the years to come. People are already arguing about whether or not Shuri should be the next Black Panther or the next Iron Man, and people loved M’Baku so much that Disney had to rush out a new Twitter emoji just for him. Disney expected this movie to be big, and it still surpassed their expectations.
With that in mind, please enjoy these videos of Wright freestyling while Duke provides the beatbox for her rhymes, courtesy of the one and only Lupita Nyong'o who's looking out for all us Shuri-heads out here. It’s not bad, and it’s great to see co-stars Danai Gurira and Angela Bassett cheering her on. When you see the marketing machine kick into gear, everyone says they had a great time making the movie, but here’s the proof that the people involved really enjoyed hanging out between takes.
