While the ‘net has been talking about “Shoot ‘Em Up” for what seems like forever, the film is finally opening up at theaters next Friday. So if you’re a fan of great action movies… get ready to buy your tickets to the gun show.

Michael Davis (the writer/director) has crafted a movie of balls to the wall action…and once the film starts, it never stops. While the running time is 90 minutes, I promise you’ll feel like you spent your money on the right film, as the movie never slows down and it almost never takes a breath.

I got to see the film at Comic-Con and it was one of those experiences that I’ll always remember, as the audience that I saw it with was laughing and cheering loudly, almost like it was a comedy. In fact, do yourself a favor and see it with a packed audience, as it’s one of those movies that benefits from a crowd.

In the coming days I’ll be posting interviews with the cast, but for now enjoy the videos below. And for those who don’t know what “Shoot ‘Em Up” is about…Clive Owen stars as Mr. Smith, a mysterious loner who teams up with an unlikely ally (Monica Belluci) to protect a newborn baby from a determined criminal (Paul Giamatti) who hunts them throughout the bowels of the city.

Finally, a lot of you may not know that Michael Davis did about 15 minutes of animatics by hand to land the directing job. The first video is a comparison of his hand drawn stuff to what the final film looks like. You can expect the entire thing to be on the DVD.
