Michael Davis (the writer/director) has crafted a movie of balls to the wall actionâ¦and once the film starts, it never stops. While the running time is 90 minutes, I promise youâll feel like you spent your money on the right film, as the movie never slows down and it almost never takes a breath.
I got to see the film at Comic-Con and it was one of those experiences that Iâll always remember, as the audience that I saw it with was laughing and cheering loudly, almost like it was a comedy. In fact, do yourself a favor and see it with a packed audience, as itâs one of those movies that benefits from a crowd.
In the coming days Iâll be posting interviews with the cast, but for now enjoy the videos below. And for those who donât know what âShoot âEm Upâ is aboutâ¦Clive Owen stars as Mr. Smith, a mysterious loner who teams up with an unlikely ally (Monica Belluci) to protect a newborn baby from a determined criminal (Paul Giamatti) who hunts them throughout the bowels of the city.
Finally, a lot of you may not know that Michael Davis did about 15 minutes of animatics by hand to land the directing job. The first video is a comparison of his hand drawn stuff to what the final film looks like. You can expect the entire thing to be on the DVD.
