Fresh off the announcement of the SXSW Film Festival Midnighter selections, Dark Sky Films has released a teaser trailer for We Are Still Here - and it looks great. The film stars Barbara Crampton (You're Next, Re-Animator) and Andrew Sensenig (Upstream Color) as a couple who move into an old New England house that once served as a funeral parlor, only to find that there's some "trouble" hiding behind its walls - not too surprising given that the former owners used to ship dead bodies off to Boston's Chinatown to be turned into chop suey.

The trouble looks to be some kind of pissed-off, molten monster and the creature effects look outstanding. Not to mention the gore, which, if this teaser is any indication, will be significant and brutal. This is a take-no-prisoners trailer.

We Are Still Here is produced by Travis Stevens (who also produced former SXSW Mightnight hits Cheap Thrills and Starry Eyes), and marks the feature film debut of director Ted Geoghegan. The film also stars Larry Fesseden (I Sell the Devil), Lisa Marie (Sleepy Hollow, Mars Attacks), and Monte Markham (Life Partners), and will have its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival.

Here's the official logline:

In the cold, winter fields of New England, there sits a house that wakes up every 30 years and demands a sacrifice.
