  • At 8 p.m., Survivor won its timeslot with a 2.1 rating (in the key 18-49 demographic) and 9.17 million viewers for CBS, even though it was down to a series low.
  • American Idol showed modest gains also at 8 p.m., but is still not hitting great ratings for Fox, as it notched a 1.6 rating and 7.32 million viewers.
  • On the CW, Arrow was down to a season low 0.8 rating and 2.4 million viewers, as Oliver turned to the dark side.

Supernatural, meanwhile, at 9 p.m. remained steady with a 0.7 rating and 1.85 million viewers.
  • On ABC's comedy front, things were very mixed: The Middle was up two tenths to a 2.0 rating and 7.31 million viewers at 8 p.m., while The Goldbergs at 8:30 p.m. was steady with a 2.1 rating and 6.71 million viewers. Modern Family was down marginally to a 2.9 rating and 7.95 million viewers (though still won the 9 p.m. timeslot), and black-ish was also down a tenth to a 2.0 and 6 million viewers. Ultimately, strong ratings overall led to ABC winning that race, while CBS won with total viewers.
  • As part of its crossover with Chicago Fire this week, Chicago PD was up 20 percent to a 1.8 rating and 8.05 million viewers. It also gave Law & Order: SVU (also part of the crossover) a bump for NBC at 10 p.m., as that series was up 11 percent to a 2.0 rating and 9.22 million viewers.
  • Also at 10 p.m., ABC's Nashville was steady at a 1.3 rating and 4.76 million viewers, while CBS's CSI: Cyber took a dip down to a series low 1.2 rating and 7.2 million viewers.
