Alchemy has released the Welcome to Me trailer online.  Kristen Wiig stars as a mentally ill woman who wins the lottery and then uses the money to fund a television show about her life.

The film has a interesting hook and a solid cast, which is why I went to see it at last year's Toronto International Film Festival.  I walked out having seen the worst movie at the festival and one of the worst I've seen in recent memory.  Welcome to ME is smug, condescending, mean-spirited, and hypocritical.  The best thing about this trailer is how forgettable it is.  There's really no use getting worked up over a film that will vanish into obscurity and be another one of Wiig's indie dramedy misses (remember Girl Most Likely?)

Watch the trailer below.  Welcome to Me opens in limited release on May 1st, and also stars Linda Cardellini, James Marsden, Wes Bentley, Tim Robbins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Joan Cusack.
