Now that the latest Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has dropped, fans have spotted at least five potential Spider-Man villains from various movie multiverses who will team up against the hero. The list contains Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus, Rhys Ifans the Lizard, Jamie Foxx's Electro, and Thomas Haden Church's Sandman. It's going to be a star-studded assemblage of Spider-Man greatest foes in the upcoming MCU adventure.

But the villain team-up is called Sinister Six for a reason. The trailers have only given viewers evidence of five antagonists. So who will round out the group? Whoever it ends up being will have to be on par with the power and charisma of the other five franchise villains.

Venom (Tom Hardy)

The most logical choice to join the Sinister Six is Tom Hardy's Venom since viewers saw him merge into the MCU after the post-credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. In the comics, Venom is both a hero and a villain, so he could start initially on the side of the Sinister Six and switch to Spidey's side by the end of the film.

Either way, Hardy's Venom is one character not seen in any Spider-Man: No Way Home trailers who would make a huge impact. Plus, Hardy said he wants to fight Holland's Spider-Man.

Venom (Topher Grace)

If the MCU wants to interject a little more camp into the movie franchise, they should look no further than Topher Grace's version of Venom, last seen falling to his death in Spider-Man 3. Grace's Venom doesn't have the charisma of Tom Hardy's version, but he does deserve another crack at the character after Spider-Man 3 was considered the weakest of the first three films.

The MCU could use modern special effects to update Grace's Venom into a formidable foe.

Hobgoblin

The villain who could bring the most sympathetic essence to the evil team would be the version of Hobgoblin from the comics who is actually Ned Leeds behind the mask. It would be emotional for Peter to have to fight a multiverse version of his best friend. This could lead to Hobgoblin getting the drop on his arch-nemesis and leaving Spider-Man prey to the plans of the Sinister Six.

It would be a diabolical inclusion that could make Spider-Man emotionally vulnerable to the rest of the villains.

Rhino

It would be hilarious to hear Paul Giamatti's goofy Russian accent one more time as Rhino. Unfortunately, the character was just a minor villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with no superpowers of his own. Instead, he equips himself with a super-suit that amplifies his strength and size.

If Rhino rounds out the Sinister Six, it would be fun to see a slightly dumber villain join a group of geniuses and scientists for comic relief.

Mysterio

Did Mysterio even die in Spider-Man: Homecoming? The villain is the Master of Illusion, so all bets are off that his death was for real. The end of Homecoming was a cliffhanger on whether Mysterio perished, but he did upload a video where he revealed Spider-Man's real identity to the public.

These events tie directly into the magic spell Doctor Strange attempts to reverse the damage of Mysterio's evil plan and make everyone forget Spider-Man's true identity. Jake Gyllenhaal is always at home in twisty thrillers, so he could add great suspense reprising his Mysterio role.

Vulture

Michael Keaton's villain was the first MCU Spider-Man villain to appear in other studios' universes when Vulture popped up in the trailer for Morbius. In that trailer, Keaton was out of his trademark Vulture costume but still recognizable as the MCU villain.

Vulture was the first big bad of the MCU web-slinger franchise and was a tremendous blue-collar interpretation of the character. In the comics, he is usually one of the core members of the Sinister Six.

Green Goblin (Harry Osborn)

It's unlikely that Marvel will bring in controversial actor James Franco to reprise his Harry Osborn role from 2002's Spider-Man. Audiences might have already seen a version of Goblin in the trailer, so it's more likely Marvel incorporates the Dane DeHaan version from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The character wasn't the most exciting villain in that franchise, and DeHaan played his Goblin as a secondary villain in the sequel behind Foxx's Electro. So this would not be the most exciting choice for the sixth member.

Scorpion

The last time fans saw Matt Gargan, portrayed in the MCU by Michael Mando, he was interrogating Vulture about Spider-Man's true identity at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Unfortunately, Gargan has yet to receive or build the super-suit he wears in the comics, and viewers have only seen his human alter-ego so far.

The green stinger-enhanced suit would be a bit goofy to render in the movies, so fans should expect a grittier version of the suit if it does appear. Scorpion would have to have increased powers to earn the spot among the other franchise favorite villains in the Sinister Six.

Shocker

The character of Shocker, portrayed by Bokeem Woodbine in Spider-Man Homecoming, was a minor villain and part of the Vulture's crew. Shocker is one of the weaker villains depicted on-screen, which is why Tom Holland's Spider-Man quickly dispatched of him during their battle.

Another version of Shocker may exist within the multiverse, or the movie could bring back Woodbine to portray the villain again. But either way, Shocker doesn't pack the necessary punch to be the sixth villain revealed in this film.

Kingpin

Kingpin was the big bad of the widely popular animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Voiced by Liev Schreiber in that version, the colossal villain used his massive strength and brains to exterminate all the Spider-Man characters from different dimensions. So, could he return as a live-action version to the MCU?

This feels the most unlikely choice since Kingpin might show up in the Hawkeye Disney+ series, potentially by the same actor who played him in the Netflix series, Vincent D'Onofrio.
