Deadline reports TriStar pre-emptively bought the pitch for The Yank, written by Steve Pink (Hot Tub Time Machine) and Jeff Morris.  Ferrell would play "a mild mannered insurance courier who gets caught up in a conspiracy to steal the Crown Jewels in London."  I see promise if they can get a great supporting cast of British thespians.  Starting with Michael Caine.

Per Deadline, Sick Day follows "three thirtysomething friends who uphold a tradition of calling in sick one day a year to fulfill fantasies while not getting caught."  Jeremy Garelick will direct the Universal production.  Jordan Cahan will rewrite the script.

Mark Duplass and Naomi Scott are producing The OvernightPatrick Brice is directing.  Filming is currently underway in Los Angeles, but The Wrap was unable to obtain plot details.
