And now, time for the not so great. Even though it's an exciting time of the year for TV fans, where hopefully your favorite shows got renewed (you can check here to find out), there is also a freshman class of new shows to speculate about, complete with trailers to whet your appetites for the fall TV season. And in this case, making you wonder what the heck these networks were thinking.

Collider has weeded through the nearly 30 sneak peeks offered up this week at the New York Upfront presentation to bring you what we think look like the five worst shows of the upcoming season. We also have listed out the five best, and for even more you can catch up with more upfront coverage with the fall schedules for CBS, ABC, FoxNBC, and The CW as well.

9JKL, CBS

CBS put forth some pretty great trailers for the 2017-18 season... and then there's this sitcom. It feels dated, it feels cliched, it feels like it'll be right at home on CBS. And the cast, which includes Linda Lavin, Elliott Gould, Mark Feuerstein and David Walton, is far too good for material this bad.

Deception, ABC

A disgraced magician (yeah) finds a new job... helping the FBI (um, yeah). We're going to put money now on this one as "first show canceled."

The Brave, NBC

The real men and women of the military are selfless heroes to be honored and respected. But this show looks like a dozen other shows we've seen already and doesn't even boast a big name or two to give it some heft. A military drama could (and has) been done well, but The Brave is not going to be that drama.

Alex, Inc, ABC

Oh, Zach Braff. You were so great on Scrubs. Unfortunately, this "comedy" about a guy starting his own podcast company does not appear to be your next Scrubs.

Wisdom of the Crowd, CBS

This new drama, about a wealthy man who decides to crowdsource his daughter's unsolved murder by funding a fancy social media-like crime fighting tool, feels like a hybrid of the short-lived FOX drama APB and early CSI -- which means it will probably be wildly successful on CBS. We're giving this a hard pass, though.
