Fox has released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming X-Files revival series and it's even slighter than the last one. Like everything else we've seen from the revival series so far, the teaser trailer doesn't tell us anything about the story, and it actually reuses almost entirely the same footage from the first teaser trailer, but this time Mulder and Scully SAY WORDS TO EACH OTHERS' FACES.  Holy wow, there is dialogue in the revival series, can you believe it?

Perhaps I'm being a bit too snarky, but at this point we've seen a lot of promotional material and still don't have a grasp on what the new series is even about. Obviously, I don't want them to spoil the show, but it would be nice if they showed us something that's genuinely worth getting excited about instead of recycling and repackaging material alongside two new shots. I'm also a bit worried that we're six months out from the January 24th, 2016 premiere and Fox is already putting the hype machine on full blast. Of course, all that really matter is if they deliver a good show in the end, and my faithful X-Files devoted heart will watch every damn trailer no matter how little the payoff. Check out the latest teaser for yourself below.

While we don't know much about the X-Files reboot at this point, we do know that original series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are reprising their roles as the intrepid truth-seekers Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, and they’ll be joined by familiar faces Dean Haglund as The Lone Gunman, Mitch Pileggi as Skinner, William B. Davis as the Cigarette Smoking Man. Newcommers Annet Mehendru, Kamil Nanjiani and Joel McHale are also headed into the world of extraterrestrial mystery, the later portraying a conservative talk show host who becomes an unlikely ally to Mulder. Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose also recently signed on as new agents.
