One should rightly expect to see quite a lot of marketing material for X-Men: Apocalypse, Bryan Singer's latest take on the grand Marvel mythology, over the next few weeks. The new film, which introduces the titular mutant-god villain, played by Llewyn Davis himself Oscar Isaac, is set to hit theaters nationwide on May 27th, and hits most international shores the week prior on May 19th, and the occasion has caused a small cascade of clips, featurettes, and TV spots to be released, teasing the various conflicts of the Fox's anticipated blockbuster.

The latest clip comes from Jennifer Lawrence's Facebook page, and shows her character, Mystique, scoping out two captive mutants, namely Kodi Smit-McPhee's Nightcrawler and  Ben Hardy's Angel, fighting each other in a cage match in Germany. It's sequence that's been teased an awful lot in the stills and trailers we've seen thus far for the movie, but it's a minor thrill to see how the whole interaction plays out without exactly knowing its conclusion. You can check out the full clip right below, as well as the official synopsis, which, if you're like me, you've read enough times at this point to make your eyes go red.

Here's the X-Men: Apocalypse clip that Lawrence posted:

Here's the official synopsis for X-Men: Apocalypse:

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
