Get ready for the Professor X you know and love! When Brian Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse arrives, we are finally going to see James McAvoy sporting Charles Xavier's iconic bald head. With the debut of a the new cast of mutants in X-Men: First Class, fans were instantly taken aback by two strange qualities in Professor X - he walked and he had a luscious head of hair. While the film addressed that first matter, the hair remained through X-Men: Days of Future Past and has been a common complaint among purist fans. Well, if you've been bent out of shape about the state of Xavier's follicly robust head of hair, then rest easy.

While recent concept art indicates the film will certainly see Xavier's totally radical 1980's do at some point, Singer revealed on instagram that McAvoy has taken the plunge, or the shave, and gone completely bald for the film. The film also stars returning cast members Michael Fassbender,Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, Lucas Till, and Nicholas Hoult plus newcomers Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, and Olivia Munn as Psylocke. X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
