It appears we’re not too far away from seeing the first footage from X-Men: Apocalypse. As he did many, many times throughout production, director Bryan Singer took to Instagram today to share a photo of himself and editor/composer John Ottman in the editing room, adding that a teaser trailer is “coming soon”. If that wasn’t enough, Singer made sure to include a look at the screen in the background, which previews a shot involving a very not bald James McAvoy as Charles Xavier. We know from Comic-Con that McAvoy shaved his head for the film, meaning we will see Professor X bald at some point in the movie, but this scene in particular shows McAvoy sporting a very shaggy ‘do indeed.

So when will the X-Men trailer drop? Well, if 20th Century Fox wants to keep things “in the family”, an attachment to the studio’s action/horror/comedy/thriller Victor Frankenstein—which stars McAvoy as the titular doctor opposite Daniel Radcliffe’s Igor—seems likely. That film is set for release on November 25th for Thanksgiving weekend, so it might be an extra fun holiday for X-Men fans.

Apocalypse picks up in the 1980s, a decade after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past forever altered this new timeline for the X-Men universe. In addition to acting as a conclusion to the trilogy that began with X-Men: First Class for the character arcs of Charles, Erik (Michael Fassbender), Raven (Jennifer Lawrence), and Hank (Nicholas Hoult), the film also introduces young versions of Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), and Jubilee (Lana Condor). And, if recent reports are to be believed, Wolverine himself may make an appearance.

The story finds the mutants squaring off against the ancient mutant Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), who assembles his Four Horsemen with Magneto, Angel (Ben Hardy), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), and Storm (Alexandra Shipp). How much of this will we see in the teaser? Who knows, but the teaser trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past was pretty damn great so I look forward to seeing what kind of tone Singer and Co. strike for this disaster-centric sequel.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
