X-Men: Days of Future Past is starting to reach The Amazing Spider-Man 2 levels of over-promotion.  The movie is still six weeks away, but Fox is still doing their teasers-for-teasers thing by releasing a sneak peek of a clip that will air during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.  Unsurprisingly, the clip features Jennifer Lawrence being badass, and while I have no complaints about that, this is a 10-second preview of a clip that will be 60 seconds at most.  Additionally, Entertainment Weekly has given Days of Future Past the cover to the magazine's "Summer Movie Preview" issue because up until this point, EW had not covered any movie that's coming out this summer.

Hit the jump to check out the sneak peek for the clip and the EW cover. The film stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Evan Peters, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Lucas Till, Omar Sy, Adan Canto, Daniel Cudmore, and Bingbing FanX-Men: Days of Future Past opens in 2D and 3D on May 23rd.

Here's the official synopsis for X-Men: Days of Future Past:

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.
