Bryan Singer Explains X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST — ROGUE CUT in New Clip

     July 1, 2015

Director Bryan Singer has gotten an awful lot of mileage out of the scenes of X-Men: Days of Future Past he originally cut out of the finished film. Dubbed the “Rogue Cut” thanks to the footage featuring Anna Paquin’s character that was almost entirely excised from the theatrical cut, this alternate version now weaves those scenes back in to put a different twist on the story. In addition to the expanded narrative, this new version will also have nearly 90 minutes of all-new special features.

Some of this material has already been released online. You can check out some of the restored footage, like Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) engaging in a little romance here, as well as an extended look at Rogue Cut here.

The film hits Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on July 14th, but if you’d like to catch the film early at San Diego Comic-Con, you can enter to win passes to the July 11th screening at the Reading Gaslamp Cinema right here.
